About The Position
Checkered Flag Automotive Group is looking for a Dispatcher to join their team in Virginia Beach, VA. This role involves providing exceptional support to drivers and customers, responding quickly to inquiries, managing driver performance, and monitoring the movement of parts and shipments to ensure customer satisfaction and timely deliveries. The dispatcher will utilize planning and tracking software to schedule and dispatch Parts and Shuttle Drivers.
Requirements
- 2 years of dispatcher or other transportation-related experience
- Strong decision-making skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be detail oriented and able to multitask and prioritize demands
- Self-motivated problem-solver with a strong desire to meet customer needs
- Familiarity with the Hampton Roads area for planning routes effectively
- High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional support to drivers and customers
- Respond quickly to questions and troubleshoot concerns
- Manage driver attendance and overall performance
- Proactively monitor the movement of parts to ensure customer satisfaction
- Monitor shipments throughout transit to effectively meet delivery schedules
- Utilize planning and tracking software to effectively schedule and dispatch Parts and Shuttle Drivers
