About The Position

As a Dispatcher, you play a critical role in keeping our service and sales teams operating efficiently while ensuring a smooth, positive experience for our customers. Position Overview The Dispatcher is responsible for maximizing technician productivity while maintaining excellent communication with customers and field teams. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, quick decision‑making abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and dispatch technicians based on customer requests, call urgency, and technician availability
  • Communicate with technicians throughout the day via phone and dispatch systems
  • Relay work orders, job updates, and key information to technicians
  • Track technician start times, departure times, routes, and job progress
  • Maintain a daily dispatch matrix including technician routes, locations, specialties, tools, and qualifications
  • Assign jobs to the appropriate technician based on skillset and availability
  • Anticipate route, scheduling, or parts issues and make quick, sound decisions
  • Respond to special customer requests related to service calls
  • Order parts for special jobs and track pending parts
  • Follow up on recommended and pending work
  • Forecast workload 2–3 days in advance
  • Contact customers regarding parts status and job updates
  • Maintain technician schedules including vacation, sick time, and weekend rotations
  • Interact with technicians daily to ensure smooth operations
