Requirements

Proven experience in dispatching or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and dispatch software.

Responsibilities

Daily Scheduling: Develop and manage efficient bus routes and schedules, ensuring on-time student pick-up and drop-off.
Driver Coordination: Serve as the primary contact for bus drivers, communicating route updates and navigating traffic or weather-related issues.
Emergency Response: Handle transportation emergencies such as accidents or delays, dispatching assistance promptly and informing relevant stakeholders.
Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with drivers, school officials, and parents to address any concerns or changes.
Fleet Monitoring: Use GPS and dispatch software to track bus locations, ensuring adherence to routes and schedules.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transportation operations comply with relevant student transportation regulations.
Record Keeping: Accurately document routes, driver assignments, and any incidents for reporting and analysis.
Continuous Improvement: Work with transportation managers to enhance routing efficiency and safety procedures.
