As a Dispatcher at Trademark Metals Recycling, you’re the nerve center of the operation. You’ll coordinate drivers, manage routes, handle customer service calls, process billing, and make real-time decisions that keep the whole yard running on schedule. Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills — comfortable on the phone, radio, and in person
  • Able to multitask, stay organized, and follow up on outstanding issues without letting things fall through the cracks
  • Strong problem-solving instincts — you assess situations quickly and make good calls under pressure
  • Professional, customer service-focused attitude with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly
  • Computer proficient — Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and ability to learn in-house systems
  • Willingness to learn the scrap metal recycling industry — knowledge is a plus, drive to learn is a must
  • Must pass a hair drug test and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Dispatch systems experience preferred — familiarity with routing and logistics software is a strong plus
  • Billing and administrative experience preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
  • Candidates within 50 miles of location preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Knowledge of the metals recycling industry preferred but not required — we’ll get you up to speed

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures — safety is always the first priority
  • Dispatch and support drivers throughout the day — route them efficiently to deliver timely, reliable service to customers
  • Take inbound service requests from customers and TMR teammates — triage, prioritize, and act fast
  • Monitor customer scale alert systems and respond to issues as they arise
  • Assess loaded boxes and trailers on the yard from the previous day and schedule them for unloading
  • Review and process daily paperwork from the prior day — check contractor times and compare against billing
  • Review driver performance daily and flag issues or trends to management
  • Assist drivers with problems in the field — make the call on when to escalate to management
  • Perform general office and billing duties as assigned by the Manager
