About The Position

This role involves monitoring and communicating the need for security services, managing and responding to calls and alarms, and coordinating/dispatching staff. The dispatcher will retrieve recorded documentation, monitor activities via surveillance systems, and communicate with management for additional staffing support. This position may also be responsible for hiring, training, supervision, and performance appraisals of security shift employees.

Requirements

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in Security operations
Dispatching or call center work
Familiarity with radio communications and multi-line phone systems
Ability to handle multiple calls, radios, and systems at once

Responsibilities

Monitor and communicate need for security services throughout assigned area(s).
Manage and respond to calls and/or alarms and initiate immediate response.
Coordinate and/or dispatch staff in response to requests for service.
Retrieve recorded documentation as required.
Monitor the activities of persons on the premises by way of surveillance systems and communications.
Initiate communication with team leader/manager when additional staffing support is necessary and assist with resolution of those issues.
May be responsible and accountable for hiring, training, supervision and performance appraisals of security shift employees.
