POSITION SUMMARY: The Dispatcher-ES is responsible for the coordination of the utilization of drivers, trucks and equipment to create capacity, maximize productivity and ensure prompt, courteous and efficient service to all customers. At some work locations, the Dispatcher-ES will also be responsible for accurately and efficiently monitoring and recording waste volumes entering the post-collection site, as well as collecting appropriate usage fees from customers. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures maximum productivity by achieving or exceeding Company-established goals by successfully routing drivers. Assigns loads to drivers based on designated routes, jobs and driver location. Monitors route time intervals for gaps. Monitors employee hours to minimize overtime. Balances the distribution of hours between drivers. Monitors driver times to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Ensures driver DOT logs are current before dispatching drivers. Collects daily pre- and post-trip inspections. Creates work orders for the shop. Collects completed work orders and enters data into tracking spreadsheet or other systems. Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent. At some work locations: Determines content of material entering facility to remain compliant with permit and properly bill the customer. Documents the waste entering the facility utilizing truck scales, lab equipment and computer systems. Track total amount of waste entering the facility. Notifies supervisor or manager of special waste or other incoming special loads; directs or dispatches as necessary; processes requirement paperwork and performs other duties as necessary to process special loads. Receives payment from customers and provide receipts. Balances the daily receipts to ensure accurate recordkeeping and appropriate billing and deposit receipts into the sage depository. QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in a customer-facing position. One year of experience in the waste services, environmental services, or oilfield industries. Experience with DOT hazardous material handling and transportation codes.
