About The Position

Reporting to the Dispatch Manager, the Dispatcher role is accountable for driver success and responsible for all items related to ensuring the driver hits all operational targets while maintaining a professional safety record. Our mission is to become the industry leader of the driver experience. We consider the driver to be the front line of our company. We strive to consistently surpass driver expectations by supporting all drivers to successfully meet utilization targets while honoring home time. Our fleet team will not be satisfied until every driver has successfully met their full potential.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the trucking industry and associated rules and regulations (ex. Hours of service regulations)

  • Logistics / Supply Chain experience an asset

Responsibilities

  • Live System Management: Ensure late to start and complete is live and up to date. All driver PTAs are updated. All order ETAs are updated. Any service disruptions are entered (Service Alerts). Cross border shipments are processed for customs clearance. All loads’ assignments are dispatched and confirmed.
  • Driver Performance Management: Tractor and driver utilization management, Driver time off management, Driver discipline and documentation, Safety and compliance management, Continuous improvement and regulation compliance (Random, safety courses, etc.).
  • Communications Management: Ensuring all pertinent information is flowing between the drivers and the operations team as well as any support departments. Emphasizing customer requirement and needs to the drivers enabling operational success. Demonstrating urgency and timeliness.
  • Other duties as assigned
