About The Position

The Dispatcher I ensures the smooth operation of logistics dispatch services by tracking and monitoring vehicle movements for product pickups and deliveries, maintaining timely communication, and assisting with appointment scheduling. The role monitors shipments, addresses issues as they arise, and maintains accurate records of activities, communications, and milestones. It also provides administrative support to help dispatch operations run efficiently.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of Home Delivery, Final Mile, or Logistics industry experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong multitasking, communication, and coordination skills, with high attention to detail.
Self-motivation, accountability, consistency, and follow-through.
Ability to solve problems and work autonomously with little supervision.
Ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure environment with short lead times.
Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn various systems.

Nice To Haves

Some college, an associate degree, or higher.
At least 1 year of customer service, call center, or retail experience.

Responsibilities

Monitor daily order progress, communicate delays to AIT teams and clients in real time, assist with appointment scheduling, and resolve issues through ticket reassignment or escalation.
Dispatch vehicles and track their schedules to appropriate locations according to AIT’s needs.
Serve as a liaison between clients and agents, providing timely status updates and coordinating operations.
Handle inbound calls and respond to internal chat and email inquiries about shipments and services, working toward timely issue resolution.
Conduct daily roll calls to confirm same-day and next-day shipments are ready for delivery.
Contact customers to schedule, confirm, or reschedule delivery and service appointments and follow up as needed.
Ensure same-day shipments are marked complete in the system and promptly communicate order changes or updates to clients, agents, and drivers.
Audit the system to confirm photos were captured upon order completion and assess the quality of submitted photos.
Document and maintain records of customer requests, services performed, and other dispatch-related information.
Perform other duties as assigned.
