About The Position
At TCS Transportation, we are seeking a Dispatch Specialist to coordinate timely, compassionate, and efficient transportation services. This role requires excellent customer service, friendly communication, and the ability to respond with empathy and composure in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or 2 years of dispatch/logistics experience.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Familiar with smartphone and dispatch applications.

- Comfortable using transportation software and mobile navigation tools.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all trips are assigned on time with no missed or late service.
- Monitor and adjust schedules in real-time to maintain efficiency and reliability.
- Assign return (leg 2) trips strategically based on proximity and timing.
- Collaborate closely with drivers and the Trip Assignment team to resolve disruptions.
- Meet trip-per-hour targets (Urban Ambulatory: 2/hr; Wheelchair/Rural/Long Distance: 1/hr).
- Maintain an average dispatch time of 5 minutes or less for return trips.
- Use dispatch systems and mobile tools accurately to support daily operations.
- Contribute to team meetings with updates and practical solutions.
