About The Position

LifeStar Response of Maryland is seeking an experienced and motivated Dispatch Manager to oversee daily dispatch operations for our Interfacility Transport and Paratransit services. The Dispatch Manager is responsible for supervising dispatch personnel, ensuring efficient resource deployment, maintaining exceptional customer service, and supporting operational excellence. This position serves as a key liaison between customers, dispatch staff, drivers, field personnel, and management to ensure safe, timely, and effective transportation services.

  • Proficiency with computer-based dispatch and scheduling systems.
  • Knowledge of interfacility transport and paratransit operations required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in transportation, EMS, medical transportation, paratransit, or dispatch operations management preferred.
  • Familiarity with Traumasoft software is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise dispatch staff, including scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and coaching.
  • Monitor daily dispatch operations to ensure efficient assignment and coordination of transportation resources.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, healthcare facilities, employees, and management regarding service requests, operational updates, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze operational performance and identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
  • Assist in developing and implementing dispatch protocols and best practices.
  • Address customer concerns and service-related issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with operations and field personnel to maintain high levels of service quality and reliability.
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate operational records.
