About The Position

The Dishwasher is responsible for the maintenance of dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment and utensils in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations. The focus of the Dishwasher includes general dishwasher and cleaning responsibilities to ensure the complete cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and work areas.

Up to one-month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Scrapes/rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment.
Washes pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures.
Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures.
Ensures compliance with all outlined safety procedures, up to and including use of cut gloves when handling and cleaning knives.
Maintains and tracks temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
Cleans and maintains dish area in an orderly manner to include mats, clear walkway and in compliance with all other safety standards.
Sweeps and mops kitchen floors at appropriate intervals to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks and all other food prep surface as assigned.
Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans in appropriate and assigned areas.
Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas observing all safe lifting standards.
May assist with loading or unloading supplies and product.
Perform other functions and duties as assigned.

Consistently promotes teamwork and direct communication with co-workers and deals discretely and sensitively with confidential information.
Contributes by identifying problems and seeking solutions.
