About The Position
If you believe in the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, you'll be excited by the possibility of getting a foot in the door working in our Clubhouse kitchen as a full-time Dishwasher! At our Clubhouse, you’ll have the opportunity to support the kitchen in creating healthy, tasty meals for community youth, inspired by GREAT values: Generosity, Respect, Encouragement, Accountability, and Trustworthiness. Boys & Girls Club is committed to practicing those values to create a community organization where you can be sure you’re making a difference. We are looking for applicants available to work 6am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday. This role also includes some evenings and weekends throughout the year. Applicants with a desire to commit to a culinary career are preferred, but no experience is required.
Requirements
- Must pass Drug Test (for drugs illegal in the state of Nevada)
- Must Pass Background Check
- Must provide references
- Enjoys being busy with a basic series of tasks
- Dedicated to local community and youth
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Must be or become ServSafe certified within 90 days of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Applicants with a desire to commit to a culinary career are preferred
- High school or GED (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Keep kitchen and cafeteria clean and organized
- Loading and unloading industrial dishwasher
- Washing specific dishes
- Setting up workstations
- Maintaining cleaning supplies
- Taking out trash
- Driving food to area locations
- Maintaining the safety of our children and staff, and ensuring an optimal experience for all
