About The Position

Canada’s National Ballet School (NBS) is seeking a reliable, energetic, and hands-on Dishwasher to join their Food Services team. This permanent, part-time role is crucial for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment in the Mona Campbell Square Café and Currie Hall. The position offers the opportunity to be part of a supportive team in a lively, creative environment, with a direct impact on the daily operations of the food services.

Requirements

• Experience in a food services role, ideally in a professional or institutional kitchen.
• A valid Food Handler’s Certificate.
• Solid understanding of sanitation, cleanliness, and WHMIS practices.
• Confidence using industrial dish machines and the 3-compartment sink method.
• Ability to follow instructions and stick to routines.
• Knowledge of health & safety and safe food handling practices.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills—you’re a team player through and through.
• Weekend availability is a must.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen sparkling—sweep, mop, take out garbage, and break down boxes.
• Load, run, and unload industrial dishwashers.
• Ensure a steady supply of clean dishes, cutlery, and serving ware.
• Scrub pots and pans and store them in their proper homes.
• Receive and organize deliveries (dry goods, fresh produce, meat).
• Move food, supplies, and equipment between kitchen spaces as needed.
• Support the team and keep things running smoothly wherever required.
• Take on other duties as needed.
