About The Position

The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and dining areas by washing dishes, utensils, cooking equipment, and ensuring a clean environment. The Dishwasher also assists kitchen staff by keeping the dish washing area organized and stocked with clean tools.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and a willingness to take direction.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a dishwasher or in food service is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using a dishwasher or by hand as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dish area, floors, and kitchen workspace by sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces.
• Properly dispose of garbage and recycling materials, ensuring cleanliness in waste areas.
• Assist in restocking clean plates, glasses, silverware, and other necessary items for kitchen and dining use.
• Operate, maintain, and ensure the cleanliness of dish washing equipment according to safety and health regulations.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks and any additional duties as needed to maintain a smooth kitchen operation.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
