Set along the park with a welcoming patio for alfresco dining, Pinyon invites guests to linger over a cocktail or a lively spritz while enjoying house-made pita, crudos, pasta, seasonal salads, and an ever-changing array of spreads and dips alongside dishes cooked over open flame—celebrating flavors from Barcelona to Malta while uniting the best global ingredients and time-honored techniques to bring a fresh, sophisticated dining experience to the community. Position Overview: Dishwashers are the backbone of our kitchen. In a fast-paced, high-volume environment like Pinyon, this role keeps everything moving. From washing plates and glassware to maintaining equipment and supporting the culinary team, you’ll ensure our chefs and servers always have what they need to deliver exceptional hospitality.

Requirements

  • Previous kitchen experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant preferred (but we’ll train the right candidates with a great attitude).
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have AZ Food Handlers certificate or ability to obtain.
  • E-Verify Requirement: Arizona mandates that all employers use the E-Verify system to confirm the employment eligibility of new hires.

Responsibilities

  • Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently to clean and sanitize all plates, utensils, pots, and pans.
  • Keep the kitchen stocked and flowing by returning clean items to their proper places quickly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dish area, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
  • Assist with kitchen support tasks such as basic prep, stocking deliveries, or transporting items as needed.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards to keep the kitchen safe and efficient.
  • Communicate with the kitchen team to anticipate needs during high-volume service.
