About The Position
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the kitchen dish area, equipment, and chemicals. This role ensures that kitchen utensils and service ware are clean and sanitized to support speedy and efficient service to guests. The position also involves general cleaning duties within the kitchen environment.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years old to be hired.
- Successful completion of hourly position validations, including reading training materials.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and verify dish machine is working properly and chemical levels are correct throughout the day.
- Scrape food from dirty dishes and place them in dish racks.
- Wash all utensils, glassware, and dishware, and store them correctly.
- Wash pots, pans, and other cooking equipment by hand following proper ware washing techniques.
- Sort and remove trash and garbage to the dumpster.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dish area and equipment.
- Sort and stock clean glassware, utensils, and dishware.
- Change dish machine chemicals, water, and three-compartment sink as needed.
- Contribute to a positive guest experience by exceeding expectations.
- Wash and mop various work areas including tables, walls, refrigerators, and floors daily.
- Work closely and communicate with FOH staff in a high-pace environment, performing time-sensitive tasks.
- Perform other functions as assigned by management.
