About The Position

The Westin Tempe is looking for a FT - AM Dishwasher to join our amazing Team in our Culinary Department! This role involves servicing guests in our Restaurant and around the hotel, ensuring a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in a high level of guest satisfaction. The dishwasher operates the dishwasher to properly clean all dishes and cooking utensils, scrubs pots, re-stocks supplies, and performs general kitchen cleaning duties including mopping floors and trash removal. They also maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas, the Team Member cafeteria, and the loading dock. Supportive functions include performing general/routine cleaning tasks and other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills or executing special guest requests.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
• Able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operates the dishwasher to properly clean all dishes and cooking utensils used in the kitchen and restaurant.
• Scrubs pots.
• Re-stocks all supplies in the assigned areas.
• Performs general kitchen cleaning duties including the cleaning and mopping of the kitchen floors and trash removal.
• Maintains cleanliness in all kitchen areas, Team Member cafeteria and loading dock.
• Perform general/routine cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned to adhere to health standards.
• Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning up unexpected spills or executing special guest requests.
