About The Position
The Dishwasher is responsible for washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand. This role also involves maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean and orderly condition, stocking supplies, and performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. The position requires a commitment to the proper care of dishware, cutlery, and equipment to minimize breakage and ensuring timely arrival for shifts.
Requirements
- Experience in a related field, preferably in hotels or restaurants a plus
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required
- Ability to stand during entire shift
- Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand
- Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition
- Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators
- Sweep and scrub floors
- Clean garbage cans with water or steam
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
- Clean and prepare various foods for cooking or serving
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Ensure the proper care of dishware, cutlery and equipment - minimum breakage!
- Arrive to work on time for shift
