About The Position
The Dishwasher and general utility position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and similar items, using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe, and sanitary facility.

Responsibilities
- Sorts and rinses dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and places them in racks to send through the dish machine
- Sorts and stacks clean dishes
- Changes dishwater in the dish machine every hour
- Washes pots, pans, and trays by hand
- Removes trash and garbage to the dumpster
- Sets up or breaks down the dishwashing area
- Cleans and rolls/unrolls mats
- Fills and empties soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions
- Sweeps and mops floors
- Sweeps up trash around the exterior of the restaurant and garbage dumpster
- Conducts general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed
- Wipes up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry
- Maintains full compliance with Department of Health regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
