About The Position

Responsible for dishwashing and other general housekeeping tasks. Maintains the Culinary Department in a sanitary, safe, and clean condition that meets hospital, Health Department and Joint Commission standards. This is a PRN (as needed) position, requiring approximately 2 or 3 shifts per week, with rotating holiday and weekend coverage as needed. The pay rate is based on experience, ranging from $17.00 to $21.75 per hour.

Requirements

• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work
• Demonstrates ability to read color coded labels and chemicals as well as following written and verbal directions

Nice To Haves

• One or more year of experience as a Dishwasher, Food Service or Housekeeping role
• Demonstrate ability to operate housekeeping equipment and dish machine

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes dishes
• Collects carts with patient trays from hospital floors.
• Cleans and disinfects assigned areas including dining areas using department cleaning procedures.
• Uses cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
• Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash.
• Operates and maintains assigned equipment (e.g. commercial dishwasher) according to established procedures.
