About The Position

The Dishwasher is responsible for washing and cleaning tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment, ensuring that the dish machine and equipment are kept clean and organized. This role adheres to Sycamore's Policies and Procedures, acting as a role model with a positive and respectful attitude. The employee must consistently report to work on time, participate in monthly safety training, and demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism.

Requirements

Must be able to work holidays, weekends and evenings.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work in stressful situations.
Stand and walk for long periods of time or an entire shift.
Repetitive motions of hands, wrists and fingers.
Climb stairs, balance, stoop, squat, bend, twist, kneel, reach, grasp, shake, stir, pour, and squeeze with both hands.
Talk or hear; taste or smell.
Occasionally lift and/or move, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

Load, run and unload dish machine.
Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
Keep dish room clean and organized.
Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
Bag and haul trash to dumpster at designed times.
Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
General cleaning duties.
Attends all scheduled employee meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned by Chef.
