Dishwasher The Opportunity UHP is seeking a Dishwasher to join our team. The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for all service dishes, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment. This role supports the kitchen and dining staff by ensuring a steady supply of clean items and maintaining a clean, organized work area. Key duties include operating the dish machine, washing pots and pans, performing general cleaning tasks, and assisting with food preparation as needed. This position is vital to the safe and efficient operation of the food service for our guests.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety practices is advantageous
Familiarity with cleaning procedures and food handling standards is beneficial
Military experience or a direct connection to the veteran community.
Familiarity with UHP’s mission, the Blueprint educational model, and immersive campus structure.

Responsibilities

Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans quickly and thoroughly
Keep the kitchen functioning with organized and stocked clean dishes, flatware, and other kitchen items in the appropriate storage areas
Support the kitchen team by maintaining clean workspaces
Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes, flatware, and kitchenware
Support culinary staff with additional prep work during busy periods
Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area.
Removing trash as needed
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
