About The Position
Right in the heart of State College, PA you will find the newest entertainment destination. Happy Valley Casino has taken over in The Nittany Mall, bringing the area its first ever gaming facility! With two dining options, cocktail service, 30+ table games and over 600 slot machines, we are sure to be the number one entertainment destination in The Happy Valley! We are looking for a dependable Dishwasher to join the team at Happy Valley Casino. This position plays a key role in supporting kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the food service areas. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and takes pride in contributing to a clean, safe, and productive work environment while supporting the culinary team.
Requirements
- Previous dishwashing, janitorial, or food service experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods, typically 6–8+ hours per shift.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule based on business needs.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Casino employees may be required to obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming License. Cost of license is covered by Happy Valley Casino.
Responsibilities
- Washing and sanitizing dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in dishwashing and kitchen areas.
- Properly operating and maintaining dishwashing equipment.
- Removing trash and recycling and ensuring waste is disposed of appropriately.
- Assisting with basic cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and maintaining kitchen floors.
- Stocking clean dishes, utensils, and supplies in designated storage areas.
- Following all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure efficient operations.
- Promoting positive guest interactions and contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
