This role is responsible for operating all functions of dishwashing and sanitation to maintain the kitchen's sanitation standards. Requirements

Must be able to pass background checks (fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, employment references) as required by a licensed residential care facility.

Responsibilities

Operate all functions of dishwashing and sanitation.
Maintain the sanitation standards of the kitchen.
Ensure the dish machine is properly set up.
Ensure the correct chemicals are in use at all times.
Report any problems with machinery or chemicals to a supervisor immediately.
Wash and sanitize china, glassware, flatware, all cooking and food preparation equipment, etc. at correct temperatures and store them in proper locations.
Monitor dish machine temperatures and record them daily.
Report all broken, damaged, or inoperable equipment to supervisor.
Assist in maintaining proper sanitation by sweeping, scrubbing and mopping floors; clean trash containers and perform other related sanitation tasks.
Follow and complete all duties on daily sanitation and cleaning schedules as assigned or required.
Ensure that the dish machine water is changed at regular intervals.
Break down the dish machine and clean the jets, curtains, and entire dishwashing station at the end of the day.
Practice safe food handling techniques at all times.
Report any safety, sanitation, or food handling concerns to the supervisor immediately.
