The Steward works with the culinary team to clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, the kitchen and other kitchen equipment, in accordance with time, product and placement standards to ensure total guest satisfaction. The Steward operates the dish machine, cleans and sanitizes pots and pans, china, glassware, flatware, kitchen equipment, and other utensils. They store all clean items to their proper storage location using care to minimize breakage. The Steward also cleans and sanitizes the kitchen and food preparation areas, sweeps and mops all kitchen floors and other assigned areas, and collects and properly disposes of trash. Additionally, they may service food for the Employee Cafeteria as specified by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor. The role requires adherence to established safety and sanitation guidelines, as well as uniform and grooming standards. Other duties or projects may be requested by management.
