About The Position
Modern tapas, world-renowned Valencian paella, and overflowing hospitality in the heart of Downtown Ann Arbor. Aventura is seeking a Dishwasher to join our team. The Dishwasher plays a vital role in keeping our kitchen moving smoothly and efficiently throughout service. This position supports every part of the Back of House by maintaining clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen spaces while helping uphold the pace, organization, and sanitation standards that our kitchen depends on each day. Our ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, team-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Dishwashers at Aventura are an essential part of the kitchen team and contribute directly to the success of service through urgency, consistency, and attention to detail.
Requirements

- Ability to stay organized and maintain cleanliness throughout shifts
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Able to stand for long periods and move frequently
- Frequently lift and carry 25 - 35 pounds
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Perform repetitive motions including bending, reaching, lifting, and scrubbing
- Comfortable working in hot, wet, and fast-paced kitchen conditions
Nice To Haves
- Restaurant or dishwashing experience is helpful, but not required
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment throughout service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish area, kitchen floors, drains, trash areas, and storage spaces.
- Support kitchen operations by restocking clean dishes, cookware, and service items as needed.
- Assist cooks and kitchen leadership with cleaning projects and general kitchen support tasks.
- Follow all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, and Health Department while following all health and safety regulations.
- Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining sanitation standards.
- Contribute to a productive work culture by staying focused, organized, and supporting teammates throughout service.
- Help maintain a clean, professional, and service-ready kitchen environment before, during, and after service.
