About The Position

At Hometown Coffee & Juice, every role plays an important part in creating a great customer experience. As a Dishwasher, you help keep the heart of our kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly. You'll be responsible for washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment while maintaining a clean and efficient dish area. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership. Your work directly supports the kitchen team and helps ensure we are ready to deliver quality food and service throughout the day.

Nice To Haves

Previous dishwasher or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are happy to train the right person.
Knowledge of proper sanitation and dishwashing practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

Wash, rinse, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment according to Hometown standards.
Maintain a steady flow of clean dishes and equipment, especially during busy service periods.
Prioritize dishwashing needs based on kitchen volume and communicate with teammates when support is needed.
Assist with other kitchen tasks as needed to help the team stay ahead of demand.
Keep the dish area, sinks, counters, floors, and surrounding equipment clean and organized throughout the shift.
Regularly inspect dishes and utensils to ensure they are properly cleaned and sanitized.
Maintain appropriate levels of cleaning and dishwashing supplies and communicate when items are running low.
Properly dispose of trash and recyclables and help keep the entire BOH area clean.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures.
Handle and store dishes, kitchen equipment, and cleaning supplies properly.
Follow Hometown's cleanliness standards and help prevent cross-contamination.
Work closely with kitchen teammates and leadership to keep operations running smoothly.
Follow direction, communicate clearly, and ask questions when clarification is needed.
Bring a positive, dependable, and team-first attitude to every shift.
Support teammates wherever needed during busy periods.
