About The Position

The dishwasher primarily supports the Back of House (BOH) staff in various aspects. This role requires the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and use organizational skills to maintain a neat, clean, and organized dish area. The dishwasher also assists with stocking, cleaning, and other basic side work tasks, while upholding BOH service standards and helping to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment. Additionally, the dishwasher must be able to interact with guests in a friendly and flexible manner to ensure the best possible guest experience, as guest satisfaction is paramount.

Requirements

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Organizational skills to keep dish area neat, clean and organized
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50lbs. while adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines
  • Attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to interact with the staff and guests in a positive manner
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates (e.g., Local health department certification, state liquor control board certificate)
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and well groomed appearance

Nice To Haves

  • High school education is preferred
  • CPR certification and/or first aid training preferred

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Use organizational skills to keep dish area neat, clean and organized
  • Assist in stocking, cleaning and other basic side work tasks
  • Uphold BOH service standards
  • Help to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
  • Interact with guests, remaining friendly and flexible, to ensure the best guest experience possible
  • Provide support to BOH staff while adhering to all safety and sanitation, and company policies and procedures
  • Interact with the staff and guests in a positive manner as to achieve 100% guest satisfaction
  • Ensure flatware, glassware, china, etc. are properly washed and put away
  • Assist in various BOH tasks
  • Perform basic cleaning
  • Perform stocking
  • Empty garbage and recycling bins
  • Maintain chemical cleaners at appropriate levels
  • Properly clean and maintain equipment to ensure equipment is operating properly
  • Report any equipment issues to the BOH management team
  • Complete tasks for each shift according to the needs of the restaurant
  • Maintain regular attendance in conformance with established standards
  • Comply with the Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of properties
