About The Position

We are a CCRC situated on a beautiful 50-acre campus with warm and friendly staff. Assists the Sous Chef by maintaining all Kitchen facilities and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition. Performs various kitchen duties including storing and stocking inventory, performing heavy cleaning, and following all required safety procedures and protocols.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, speak, and follow oral and written directions.

Ability to work independently.
Demonstrated ability to effectively use and adapt to a variety of digital tools, software, and systems relevant to the role. This includes the ability to quickly learn new technologies, troubleshoot basic technical issues, and apply technology to improve efficiency, accuracy, and communication.

Responsibilities

Operates the dish machine according to established safety standards while maintaining sanitation standards.
Washes and sanitizes all dishes, pots, pans, and food preparation equipment.
Disposes kitchen garbage and trash including sanitizing containers as needed.
Sweeps and mops kitchen and Health Center kitchen floors continually throughout employee shift.
Cleans refrigerator, freezer and storeroom areas as assigned.
Maintains cleanliness of all kitchens and serving line areas including walls, heavy kitchen equipment including but not limited to steam cleaner, vacuum, stove tops etc.
Follows documented safety instructions for handling kitchen equipment.
Wears required safety equipment including disposable gloves and goggles when mixing or using kitchen chemicals.
Reports safety issue immediately to management.
Understands Beaumont Fire Evacuation Plan and knows what to do if there is a fire in the Main Kitchen and Health Center Kitchen.
Keeps work area clean, safe, and orderly.
Assists with storing and stocking of dry and cold inventory.
Is courteous and respectful to all residents, staff, and guests.
Follows all Company policies including attendance, signing in and out including breaks.
Must be familiar with the Beaumont employee handbook and food services handbook.
Reports to work in a clean and complete uniform.
Must be able to work all shifts.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Must comply with the general attendance policies.
Must comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Must comply with all Compliance and Ethics policies.
