About The Position
The Margaritaville Hotel San Diego Gaslamp Quarter is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Steward. This role is vital in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the culinary operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional service and eager to contribute to the success of the team. The hotel is the brand's first city-center location on the West Coast, blending metropolitan excitement with an island feel. It features 235 guest rooms and signature Margaritaville food and beverage concepts, including LandShark Bar & Grill and the rooftop pool lounge, 5 o’Clock Somewhere.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Steward or in a similar role preferred
Responsibilities
- Support the culinary team by washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dishwashing area
- Assist with food preparation and plating as needed
- Ensure the proper handling and storage of food and supplies
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow
- Display a positive and energetic attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and attention to detail
