About The Position

The Dishwasher reports to the Executive Chef and is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment and spaces. This role requires a desire to work for a growing values-driven company, a respectful and positive disposition, and the ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and collaboratively, and communicate professionally. The ideal candidate can work on their feet for at least 8 hours, lift at least 50 pounds, ask for help when needed, be flexible, and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Wash, dry, and put away dishes from events.
  • Proper use and daily maintenance of dishwashing equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of all chemicals and proper use.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment.
  • Sweep and mop the dish room and kitchen daily.
  • Deep cleaning of kitchen space and equipment.
  • Wash and put away all dishes and equipment in their proper places.
  • Continuously check and clear kitchen dirty dish carts.
  • Keep surfaces clear, as much as possible.
  • Keep floor dry and clear.
  • Keep dish room clean and organized.
  • Be ready to assist kitchen staff upon request.
  • Keep pans, lids, and cambros neat and organized.
  • Change garbage, recycling, and compost bins when full, also check these containers at the end of your shift. Only empty bins if they are over half full.
  • Organize dish room and sort/stack dishes.
  • Wash and de-grease triple sinks.
  • Utilize “Deep Clean List” when there are no dishes or above tasks to be completed.
  • Proactively communicate work and personal schedule through Slack.
  • Attend and actively participate in all required company meetings.
  • Respond to internal and external communications within 12 hours.
  • Present a professional positive attitude among coworkers, vendors, and clients.
  • Facilitate information flows throughout workplace.
  • Maintain availability for communication by phone, Slack, and email.
  • Maintain employee privacy at all times.
