About The Position
Mazzone Hospitality, a prestigious hospitality company in upstate New York, is seeking to hire seasonal Dishwashers immediately for their location at Hudson Valley Community College. The company has a rich history, originating over 30 years ago and expanding to operate within 18 locations throughout the capital district. They are committed to providing exceptional service and attention to detail, and have partnered with Restaurant Associates, a division of Compass Group North America. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, equipment, and work areas.
Requirements
- Previous dishwashing and food utility experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on a conveyor to the dishwashing machine.
- Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen, work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Washes pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures.
- Polishes silver using appropriate equipment and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures.
- Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
- Keeps the dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
- Removes trash and places it in designated containers.
- Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Helps load and unload supplies and product.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
