About The Position

Willowbend Retirement Community is seeking a Part Time Dishwasher to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that dishes and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained. Requirements

• Grade 12 minimum
• Recent Safe Food Handlers certificate issued by Public Health
• Work as part of a team
• Capable of adapting to different situations and change
• Keen interest in working with seniors

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of three years’ experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Helps cook and servers collect and strip trays and tables for washing, clean and reset tables for next sitting
• Loads, operates and empties dishwasher. Puts dishes away
• Damp mops floors
• Cleans other kitchen equipment such as blenders, refrigerators, dishwashers, etc.
• Maintains general cleanliness of the dry goods storage area, walk-in fridge and freezer, receiving area by correct sweeping and mopping of floors, washing of walls and racks
• Performs all duties in a clean and sanitary manner
• Ensures that adequate standards of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained in food storage, and food service
• Ensures availability and maintenance of dietary supplies and equipment and submits requisitions as necessary
