About The Position
The Dishwasher position at Advocate Christ Medical Center is a full-time role within the Food and Nutrition department. The primary responsibility is to ensure all tableware, pots, pans, utensils, kitchen equipment, and surfaces are clean and sanitary. This role involves performing routine cleaning duties according to established practices and assisting with food delivery and sanitation of the kitchen work area. The position requires adherence to department rules and maintaining professional working relationships.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED in General Studies
- Ability to work with and serve various age groups.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Understanding of and ability to comply with sanitation standards.

- 1+ years of General Kitchen experience
Responsibilities
- Ensures that all tableware, pots and pans, utensils, other kitchen equipment and surfaces are clean and sanitary.
- Performs routine work with little or no deviation from accepted practices.
- Cleans and washes dishes by hand or machine, trays, silverware and pots and pans for morning and lunch meals.
- Delivers food truck to Infirmary.
- Ensures the sanitation of the kitchen work area by cleaning and washing machines, mopping floor, taking garbage to the dumpster.
- Plans daily work schedule of routine cleaning duties.
- Upholds a professional working relationship at all times and adheres to department rules.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
