The primary responsibility of the dishwasher is to clean and put away all dishes. Duties include washing dishes, pots, pans, cutlery, glassware, pitchers, cups, and any other dishware, and putting these items away in designated areas. The role requires prioritizing duties based on restaurant needs and manager communication, closing down the workspace, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area. Dishwashers are also responsible for waste disposal, including taking out garbage and recycling materials, and performing other assigned cleaning and maintenance projects. This position involves hard physical work and requires the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
