About The Position

Catering Bartenders are responsible for providing an enjoyable experience for all guests and customers during privately catered and public events. This role involves setting up, running, and breaking down events, which can range from small business meetings to large groups with full meals. Duties include setting up tables, chairs, bars, and AV equipment, serving food in various styles, pouring and serving alcoholic beverages, waiting on and bussing tables, checking IDs, providing coffee and water service, resetting event spaces, restocking supplies, washing dishes, and general cleaning. A key aspect of the position is attending to customer needs and maintaining customer relations, including answering questions and assisting guests. The role requires hard physical work, mental agility, and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Catering bartenders must be capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Obtain and maintain current food handlers and OLCC liquor license
  • Ability to accurately handle cash and work with numbers
  • Working knowledge of all potential function areas of the property and/or location
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a high volume, deadline-oriented work environment
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, holidays and special events required
  • Mental agility and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team

Responsibilities

  • Provide an enjoyable experience for all guests and customers during privately catered and public events
  • Set up, run, and breakdown of events from small business meetings with minimal food to large groups with full meals
  • Set up tables, chairs, bars, and AV equipment
  • Serve food from fine dining to buffet style
  • Pour and serve beer, wine, and spirits
  • Wait on and bus tables
  • Check IDs of patrons purchasing alcoholic beverages
  • Provide coffee and water service
  • Reset event spaces
  • Restock supplies
  • Wash dishes
  • Perform general cleaning
  • Attend to customer needs and maintain customer relations
  • Answer questions and assist customers & guests
