We are looking for a dependable, hardworking, and team-first Dishwasher to join our culinary team at the Marriott Colorado Springs. As a Dishwasher, you are one of the most essential people in the entire food and beverage operation. The culinary team cannot execute without clean equipment. The servers cannot deliver without clean dishware. The guest cannot have a great dining experience without the foundation you provide. This is a role where the work is real, the pace is fast, and the contribution is felt by everyone around you every single shift. You will be working in a dynamic, high-energy hotel kitchen environment where staying organized, moving efficiently, and communicating with your teammates are all part of what makes a shift successful. No prior kitchen experience is required. What matters most is that you show up ready to work, take pride in what you do, and bring a positive attitude to the team every day. This role is also a genuine entry point into the hospitality and culinary industry. Many of our kitchen team members started exactly where you would be starting, and for the right person, there is real room to grow.

Requirements

  • A strong work ethic and a genuine willingness to do what needs to be done to keep the operation running
  • Reliability and punctuality; your team counts on you to be there and to be ready

  • The ability to move quickly and stay organized in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
  • Comfort with physical, active work for the full duration of a shift
  • Willingness to follow instructions and learn established procedures
  • Basic communication skills and the ability to work well with others
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays; food service does not follow a traditional schedule
  • No prior kitchen experience required; we will train you on everything you need to know
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to accurately follow both verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to stand and remain active and on your feet for the full duration of a shift
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Comfortable with bending, reaching, pushing, and moving quickly throughout the kitchen
  • Comfortable working in a warm, wet, and fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior kitchen, food service, or dishwashing experience is a plus but absolutely not required
  • Food handler certification is a plus or willingness to obtain upon hire

Responsibilities

  • Washing, sanitizing, and returning dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to the line in a timely and organized manner throughout the shift
  • Operating commercial dishwashing equipment safely and according to established procedures
  • Maintaining the dish station in a clean, organized, and fully functional condition at all times
  • Monitoring and maintaining proper dish machine temperatures, chemical levels, and wash cycles, notifying a supervisor immediately if something is off
  • Sorting and stacking clean dishware, glassware, and utensils correctly and efficiently so the team always has what they need
  • Removing trash, breaking down boxes, and keeping the kitchen clean and free of hazards throughout the shift
  • Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces, floors, walls, and equipment as directed by kitchen leadership
  • Assisting with deliveries, supply storage, and general kitchen organization as needed
  • Supporting the culinary and stewarding team with tasks that contribute to a smooth and efficient operation
  • Following all food safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures in accordance with health codes and property standards
  • Communicating with kitchen team members in a positive, professional, and collaborative manner throughout the shift
  • Reporting any equipment issues, safety concerns, or supply shortages to your supervisor promptly
