Bingemans is in the business of providing Grand Experiences! The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in a fast-paced, high-volume commissary kitchen that produces large-scale catering orders. This position plays a vital role in keeping kitchen operations efficient by ensuring all dishware, cookware, and food preparation equipment are properly cleaned, organized, and available for use.

Requirements

  • Previous dishwasher, steward, or porter experience in a high-volume kitchen preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with heavy workloads and strict timelines.
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of commercial kitchen sanitation and safety procedures an asset.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work well with a team.

Responsibilities

  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and catering equipment using commercial dish machines and three-compartment sinks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, floors, drains, walls, loading dock, and trash disposal stations.
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries by breaking down boxes, organizing inventory, and removing packaging waste.
  • Monitor dishwashing supplies (detergents, sanitizers, gloves) and communicate needs to supervisors.
  • Ensure proper handling and care of large catering equipment such as sheet pans, racks, chafing dishes, and platters.
  • Support culinary team by returning clean wares quickly and assisting with light prep or packaging as directed.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines in compliance with the health department, and company standards.
  • Safely operate dishwashing and cleaning equipment; immediately report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Assist with end-of-shift breakdown, including sweeping, mopping, and waste removal of all departments in the commissary kitchen.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support commissary operations.
