The Dishwasher is responsible for operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools, including the dish washing machine, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor. This role involves washing and disinfecting kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment. Additionally, the Dishwasher will receive deliveries, store perishables properly, rotate stock, and ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas. They will use cleaning chemicals in the 3-compartment sink, inspect and stack cleaned items, and send soiled items back for re-washing. The position also includes breaking down dirty bus tubs, emptying and maintaining trashcans and the dumpster area, cleaning and mopping assigned departments, and disposing of glass in proper containers. Cardboard boxes and recyclables are to be broken down and placed in the recycle bin. The role requires adherence to all company and safety policies, reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and completing safety training. Protecting company assets, communicating clearly and professionally, and developing positive working relationships are also key aspects of this position. The role involves physical demands such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, is also required.
