About The Position

The hourly pay range for this position is $25.60 per hour - $27.10 per hour. Benefits are provided in accordance with the location’s Collective Bargaining Agreement. The work hours for this position are Mon-Fri, 6:00 am - 3:00 pm. This role involves washing pots, pans, dishes, and utensils, as well as assisting with general cleaning and sanitation. The dishwasher will also maintain storage areas and equipment, and may be trained to prep food. Success in this role requires a passion for customer service, a positive attitude, dependability, and the ability to communicate effectively and work within a team environment. Collaboration with catering for food delivery and event setup, working well under time restraints, and understanding the importance of a team working environment are key. Commitment to the service values and ethics of client managers, and the ability to follow directions from chefs and managers are also important. Supporting the chef and culinary team, as well as other dish room operators, is expected. Knowledge of HACCP practices for handling dishware and food deliveries is ideal. The role requires setting up the pot sink correctly according to HACCP practices, washing pots and pans, cleaning and sanitizing work areas, utensils, or equipment, sweeping and mopping floors, and removing garbage safely. Other duties as assigned, and adherence to all safety rules to actively prevent accidents, are also part of the role. Employees must adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures, including safety protocols, environmental responsibility, and quality standards. Active participation in HSEQ training and reporting hazards or compliance concerns is expected. Responsibilities

  • Wash pots, pans, dishes, and utensils.
  • Clean and maintain floors.
  • Assist with general cleaning and sanitation as assigned.
  • Maintain storage areas and equipment as assigned.
  • May be asked or trained to prep food.
  • Work with catering to deliver food and assist with the setup of events.
  • Setup pot sink correctly according to HACCP practices and wash pots and pans as required, putting them away as them as directed.
  • Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment.
  • Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen and service areas as required.
  • Remove garbage as directed in a safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must follow all safety rules and actively prevent accidents.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures.
  • Follow safety protocols, maintain environmental responsibility, and uphold quality standards.
