About The Position

Requirements

• Ability to maintain a pace for washing all pots, pans, dishes, flatware, and glassware.
• Caution when working with breakables (e.g., dishes and glassware).
• Ability to keep floors clean from spills, grease, and general trash.
• Ability to assist with preparation and additional cleaning throughout kitchen as needed.
• Ability to maintain a professional relationship with all line cooks, coworkers, chef, and front-of-the-house staff.
• Uphold all Health and Sanitation standards as directed by Bergdorf Goodman, local Health Department, and 3rd party Sanitation auditors.

Responsibilities

• Keeping the dish, trash, and floor areas clean and organized to the highest Health and Kitchen standards.
• Maintaining the dish machine by checking chemicals, understanding its operation, and reporting malfunctions.
• Ensuring sanitizing materials are used correctly.
• Checking and removing trash when full.
• Organizing the dish area with all necessary cleaning solutions for pots, pans, sinks, and silver.
• Maintaining an efficient pace for washing all pots, pans, dishes, flatware, and glassware.
• Exercising caution when working with breakable items.
• Keeping floors clean from spills, grease, and trash.
• Assisting with preparation and additional cleaning throughout the kitchen as needed.
• Maintaining professional relationships with all kitchen and front-of-the-house staff.
• Upholding all Health and Sanitation standards as directed by Bergdorf Goodman, local Health Department, and 3rd party Sanitation auditors.
