About The Position
As a Dishwasher at The Bancroft, you will be responsible for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are clean and ready for use by the kitchen staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dishwasher or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to follow instructions and work independently.
Responsibilities
- Operate the dishwashing machine to clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Hand-wash dishes, pots, and pans as needed.
- Sort and stack dishes and utensils in appropriate areas for storage.
- Ensure that the kitchen and dishwashing areas are clean and well-maintained at all times.
- Empty trash and recycling bins as needed.
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
- Help with other tasks as assigned.
