What You’ll Do: A Dishwasher is responsible for washing and cleansing tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. This position keeps the restaurant and equipment clean and organized.

Requirements

  • Previous and/or relevant experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure
  • Strong communication skills, both with guests and teammates
  • A positive, upbeat attitude with a strong work ethic
  • Flexible availability to work days, nights, weekends – we’re looking for team players who can adapt to the flow of the restaurant
  • A valid Food Handler Card (must have upon hire)
  • Ability to work standing for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and manage a physically demanding role.
  • Must be 18 years or older

Responsibilities

  • Well-versed in health codes and hygiene methods for washing procedures in the kitchen
  • Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware
  • Load, run and unload dish machine
  • Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
  • Keep dish room clean and organized
  • Monitor dish machine water temperature and sanitizer levels to ensure sanitary wash cycle
  • Maintain adequate levels of dish detergent, cleaning supplies and tableware for dining room and kitchen
  • Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems
  • Bag and haul trash to dumpster at designated times
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the dumpster zone
  • Clean food preparation and production areas as required
  • Assist the prep cook during down time
  • Perform station opening/closing and side work duties for each shift
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure a smooth and an efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the Restaurant Manager or immediate supervisor
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and Embody and deliver on exceptional service and hospitality
