About The Position

Sagewood is hiring a part-time Dishwasher / Utility Tech for its senior living community in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is an important member of the kitchen team and helps maintain a clean and sanitary foodservice environment. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing work areas, carts, and the kitchen; washing pots and dishes; storing food and non-food supplies; and taking out trash and recycling. The dishwasher loads dishwashing equipment, prioritizes different types and sizes of dishes and kitchen utensils, and places clean items on drying racks for proper storage. The schedule includes shifts from 2:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., working three to four varied days per week, including weekends and occasional holidays. The position pays $17.00 per hour and is located at 4555 E. Mayo Blvd, Phoenix, AZ 85050. A flu vaccine is required.

Requirements

Flu vaccine required.
Arizona food handlers’ card required.
Must pass a background check.
Able to set up and operate dishwashing equipment.
Able to understand and follow directions.
Able to remain on feet for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Work takes place in a restaurant-style kitchen.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize work areas, carts, and the kitchen.
Wash pots, dishes, crockery, and kitchen utensils.
Load and operate dishwashing equipment and place clean dishes on drying racks for proper storage.
Store food and non-food supplies.
Take out trash and recycling.
