About The Position

Sagewood is hiring a part-time Dishwasher / Utility Tech for its senior living community in Phoenix, Arizona. The position pays $17.00 per hour and involves working 3–4 varied days per week on a schedule of 2:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. Weekend and occasional holiday work is required. The role is based in a restaurant-style kitchen and includes a required flu vaccination. The Dishwasher / Utility Tech supports the kitchen team by cleaning and sanitizing work areas, carts, and the kitchen; washing and storing pots and dishes; storing food and non-food supplies; and taking out trash and recycling. The employee operates dishwashing equipment, prioritizes and washes different types of crockery and utensils, and places clean dishes on drying racks for proper storage. The role requires extended periods on one’s feet and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Sagewood provides comprehensive orientation, ongoing support, professional development, and uniforms. Requirements

AZ food handlers’ card required.
Must pass a background check.
Must be able to set up and operate dishwashing equipment.
Must be able to understand and follow directions.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize work areas, carts, and the kitchen.
Wash pots, dishes, crockery, and kitchen utensils; prioritize different types and sizes of items.
Load and operate dishwashing equipment and place dishes on drying racks to be put away.
