About The Position

The Dishwasher/Steward is responsible for washing, rinsing, sanitizing, and properly storing dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils. This role involves operating dishwashing equipment, maintaining cleanliness in dishwashing and kitchen areas, and assisting with various kitchen tasks. The position requires adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns, and supporting the kitchen staff as needed. While previous experience is preferred, it is not strictly required.

Responsibilities

Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
Operate dishwashing equipment according to established procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and kitchen areas.
Sweep and mop floors and clean work surfaces as needed.
Empty trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating supplies and deliveries.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns to management.
Assist kitchen staff with cleaning and other duties as assigned.
