Denny's Dishwasher Service Assistant
About The Position
Denny's is seeking a hardworking Dishwasher / Kitchen Helper to help maintain a clean and organized back-of-house environment and support daily restaurant operations. The position offers opportunities to learn skills in a professional kitchen setting. The role involves washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and equipment with commercial dish machines; keeping the dishwashing area clean, organized, and safe; helping kitchen staff with basic preparation tasks as needed; and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the shift. The Dishwasher Service Assistant also takes out trash and recycling, restocks clean plates, utensils, and supplies, and follows food safety, health, and hygiene guidelines. Full training is provided.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and good attention to detail.
- Ability to stay productive in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for the duration of the shift.
- Minimum prior experience required; full training is provided.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and equipment using commercial dish machines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dishwashing area.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic prep tasks when needed.
- Sweep and mop, and follow sanitation standards throughout the shift.
- Take out trash and recycling and help maintain overall cleanliness.
- Restock clean plates, utensils, and supplies for service.
- Follow food safety, health, and hygiene guidelines.
