Arlo Hotels, an independent lifestyle hotel, is actively seeking a dynamic Dishwasher/Porter. This role is directly responsible for the cleanliness of the restaurant, which is the first thing a diner sees. Requirements

2 years + experience as dishwasher/porter at a comparable restaurant or hotel.
Basic understanding of the English language.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to stay on your feet for 8 hours plus.
Basic knowledge of sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
Ensure all dishes, glassware, plastic containers, pots and pans are put away clean, dry, and grease-free in a neat and organized manner.
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.
Clean garbage cans with water and proper MSDS cleaning supplies.
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
Sweep, scrub, and mop floors.
Ensure there is no standing water on the floor anywhere in the kitchen, as per health code regulations.
Ensure all paper towels and soap are refilled at every handwashing sink throughout the kitchen.
Perform weekly deep cleaning of both ice machines and daily spot cleaning.
