Requirements

Previous dishwasher or kitchen steward experience in a high-volume environment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Must have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel and reach for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

Load, run, and unload the dishwasher with utensils, glassware, cookware, plates, and trays in a fast and efficient manner.
Ensure all dishes are clean and sanitized before putting them away on dish racks.
Maintain the dishwasher area to make sure it is clean and organized and that the wash cycle is always sanitary and operating at peak performance.
Mop and sanitize the dish room, kitchen floors, and dining room hallways, remove trash at the end of each shift to maintain safety and sanitation.
Sanitize work areas and adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
Follow all safety procedures.
Assist with deliveries and basic food preparation tasks.
Safely operate a trash compactor and ensure cleanliness of the trash compactor area.
Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain efficient workflow and communicate effectively.
Other duties as assigned.
