This position is located at the Embassy Suites in Arcadia, CA. A city nestled by the San Gabriel Mountains, known for it’s blend of suburban charm and natural beauty. Home to the renowned Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden and the historic Santa Anita racetrack. Arcadia offers a unique blend of outdoor recreation and rich cultural heritage.
Requirements
- Self-starting personality with a steady, even-keeled disposition; able to work productively with minimal direction.
- Professional appearance and manner maintained at all times in the kitchen environment.
- Physical ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift including lifting, bending, stooping, walking, pushing, and pulling heavy equipment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work at a consistent production pace throughout the shift.
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual; committed to showing up and contributing every shift.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude; willing to support the kitchen team across tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors throughout the shift to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks to uphold sanitation standards.
- Segregate, remove, and properly dispose of trash and garbage in designated containers.
- Steam clean or hose out garbage cans to maintain hygiene.
- Sort bottles and process disposable items using the bottle crushing machine.
- Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand.
- Scrape food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or load them into racks for the dishwashing machine.
- Polish silverware using burnishing-machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth.
